We've been going for about six years. We walk on the first Wednesday of every month. We meet at Bekesbourne Village Hall to get directions and share lifts at 9.45am. Our walks are approximately 3/5 miles - circa 1 and a half hours and we aim to be back in Bekesbourne by lunchtime (unless we have lunch out in a pub). Numbers vary but can be as many as fifteen - why not join us one day - members include the Millyards and the Fields. Dogs are welcome and we usually have two or three. Whenever possible we theme the walk to the season. Today we are going to see the bluebells and other wild flowers at Crundale.
By popular demand we now also walk on the third Thursday of every month. On Thursdays we meet by the church ford at 9.45am as the Village Hall car park is full of Bridge players.
There is also a Bridge lady walkers group but membership of that is by invitation whereas our Bekesbourne walks are entirely open for men and women and we have people from Canterbury and Whitstable.
